PHF Webinar: How Local Public Health is Tackling the Opioid Crisis

Thursday, July 28, 2016 - Join the Public Health Foundation (PHF) and the Bio-Defense Network on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 1-2pm EDT for a webinar, How Local Public Health is Tackling the Opioid Crisis. The webinar will include presentations from three local health departments who are addressing the opioid crisis in their communities. Maria Wood from Seattle-King County and Jefferson Katchel of Snohomish Health District will discuss their pharmaceutical stewardship programs in the Pacific Northwest, and Debra Buckner from Marion County Public Health Department will discuss substance use outreach services. In addition, PHF Executive Director Ron Bialek will discuss the draft opioid population health driver diagram, recently created with the help of a group of experts, health department officials, and foundations at the Practical Playbook meeting. PHF Webinar: Practical Approaches for Zika Preparedness and Response

Wednesday, July 20, 2016 - Join PHF and the Bio-Defense Network on Wednesday, July 27, from 1 to 2 p.m. ET for a webinar focused on preparedness and response to the Zika virus. The webinar will include information and resources from two local health departments that are addressing mosquito surveillance and control. They will share the practical and replicable efforts they are carrying out in their communities to prepare for and respond to Zika. PHF and PHAB to Host Joint Webinar on Accreditation - Register Now!

Thursday, June 30, 2016 - The Public Health Foundation (PHF) and the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) are co-hosting a webinar to address important accreditation changes.
