Our Quality Council has been semi-active in QI activities. They are very engaged during the monthly meetings, but seem to not do much outside of the meetings since they have regular dayjobs. I have tried to get them more involved by asking for help writing Q-Tip articles for our quarterly agency newsletter, training them as trainers to help roll out our QI training, and providing tools for them to facilitate QI projects when project teams need assistance. Slowly but surely this is providing the agency with more QI resources so I am not the only facilitator.
Has anyone experienced this with their council? If so, are there other innovative ideas to more effecitvely use council members?
