QI Elevator Pitch

If you had 10-15 seconds on an elevator to explain QI and why it's useful, how would you sell it?

I have encountered this situcation many times (walking down the hall, in the break room, etc) and it's all about how we present/market QI to get people interested. I'm looking forward to hear what you all come up with!

This could also be a good interview question..

At PHIT 2016 last week in baltimore, we asked workshop participants a very similar question:  What words would you use to describe Quality Improvement to a co-worker in a similar situation?  The plugged the results of the workshop's responses into a wordle - see attachment

At my previous job we had three key messages that we used to promote QI:

1. QI is not about placing blame.

2. QI is a way to make daily work easier.

3. QI is within reach of all staff and gets easier with practice.

I'm not sure where these originated (somewhere in the accreditation materials, I'm sure), but I always found them helpful.
